Thornbridge have considerable expertise in making beer, and this is their flagship low-alcoholic version which is 0.5% alcohol.
A pale ale in the American style which you can sink as many of as you like and still drive home without getting pulled over by the fuzz.
It's full of fruity flavours and is light and refreshing - the perfect session drink for those who don't want to drink alcohol or are having some time off the booze, but still want a drink with their mates.
The fruitiness comes through on the nose with hints of citrus flavours like lemon, with a very pale pour that our picture on the green background does absolutely NO justice too (noted).
The flavour is very crisp and dry, with a touch of a fruity flavour in there but it's mainly the fizz that you get rather than a bit flavour hit.
There isn't much aftertaste other than a touch of hops and it's slightly malty, but it's not going to set the world alight. It's very drinkable and if you're the designated driver, you could easily sink a few of these as it's an easy-drinking one.
Sticking to Thornbridge's design ethos of 'country pub wallpaper', Five Zero features gold detail on a grey background which is actually quite effective and eye catching, especially with the neck wrap and shiny gold Thornbridge logo.
It verges on futuristic, with the name of the beer in bold white across the middle and the description and alcohol content (hint's in the name) underneath.
Treat yourself to this pleasant pale guilt-free by going to Honest Brew, where members can get it for just £1.47 a bottle.
Non-members will have to pay £1.59. Apparently the cost of sobriety is shockingly inexpensive.
